Description

NIBC is looking for an intern within the Corporate Banking Portfolio Management team. This team is instrumental to NIBC’s strategy to have pro-active portfolio management in place and to steer the corporate banking portfolio towards a more data-driven decision model. The team closely cooperates with all Corporate Banking asset classes, such as Digital Infrastructure, Commercial Real Estate, Shipping, Fintech, Technology, Mobility and Leveraged Finance.

As an intern within Portfolio Management you will support us in our efforts towards a higher level of digitalization, enabling Corporate Banking to focus on growth initiatives and servicing our corporate clients more effectively. This includes developing the Portfolio Management dashboard in Power BI. Furthermore, you will help to prepare presentations to senior management, participate in NIBC workshops, knowledge sessions and initiatives. The internship provides you with ample opportunity to demonstrate and develop your commercial skillset, your ability to think out of the box and be creative and your talent for organizing and structuring multiple tasks and responsibilities.

What will you do?

  • Developing Portfolio Management dashboard in Power BI

  • Contributing to internal team meetings and brainstorm sessions with various stakeholders

  • Writing documentation/user manual ensuring sustainable maintenance of the dashboard

  • Presenting the resulted dashboard to senior management and stakeholders

  • Actively contributing to creating inventive solutions for Portfolio Management team in an open and professional team environment

Who are we looking for?

To apply for this position you must have:

  • Enrollment in a Master's degree – preferably but not necessarily – in economics, (computer) sciences, or engineering

  • Interest in Business Analytics and Business Intelligence

  • Knowledge of Power BI and/or programming skills (Python, MatLab)

  • Candidates should be fluent in English

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills

  • Excellent academic results and extracurricular activities
