What is ABN AMRO Clearing?

In banking, Clearing denotes all activities from the time a commitment (buy or sell) is made for a transaction until it is settled. ABN AMRO Clearing acts as an intermediary between clients and the exchanges these clients trade on. We become the buyer to the seller and seller to the buyer taking over the risk to reconcile orders between the parties in the transaction. Processing around 18 million transactions a day. We do so for professional traders, investment managers and large corporates. As clients are highly demanding and the market environment fluctuates, you are guaranteed to learn a lot in a short space of time. Clearing Talent Programmes

Both the 12-month Global Clearing Talent Programme and Global IT Talent Programme prepare you for a job in the dynamic world of Clearing. Together with the international business and IT graduates you enrol into an induction training in Amsterdam. During these training weeks you will learn everything there is to know about ABN AMRO Clearing, supporting you on your way to truly making a difference. Besides these training weeks you take on three rotations of which one abroad.

The Global Clearing Talent programme starts with a class in September and the IT Talent Programme allows for a start anytime throughout the year based on your preference.  We are looking for diversity in background, field and interests.

What to expect during the In-house day?

During our presentation we would like to provide you with an insight into the global financial markets. Afterwards you will have a clear understanding of the crucial role ABN AMRO Clearing (AAC) plays in the financial markets and where on the financial value chain our core business is. Take a look into the “black-box” of finance, and discover what happens after a deal is made on the exchanges. We will make sure you are introduced to one of the most dynamic industries in the world. And if you’re interested – we will also discuss the possibilities to apply for our IT Graduate Programme or our Business Graduate Programme depending on your study background and area of expertise. You will get ample chance to meet us and chat with grads and former grads.


Do you recognise yourself in the profile below?

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably followed by a Master’s degree (not necessarily in Finance)

  • No more than two years of work experience

  • Relevant extracurricular activities and/or experience abroad

  • Affinity with the financial sector and markets as well as new technologies.

  • Experience with data and/or programming/IT development skills are a plus
