FSG Board 2025-2026

Board

Maud Agterbos

Chairman

Hi! My name is Maud Agterbos, chairman of the Financial Study Association Groningen (FSG) for the year 2026-2027. I am 23 years old and originally from Oldenzaal, located in Twente. I’m currently pursuing my master's in Financial Management.

When I started my master's, I got to know FSG and quickly saw that it was a great opportunity to gain practical experience, expand my network, and explore different areas within finance. To learn more about a specific field, I applied for the M&A Tour Committee, which allowed me to gain more insight into the world of mergers and acquisitions. This experience sparked my interest in becoming more involved in FSG and eventually led me to apply for a board year.

As chairman, I have a broad range of responsibilities. My main task is to support and motivate my fellow board members and all active members of the association. I’m responsible for managing the general interests of FSG and overseeing the (long-term) strategy. Together with the board, we developed the annual policy at the start of the year, and it’s my role to ensure we stay on track and meet our targets.

Within the board, I’m responsible for the general policy, contact with other associations, the Financial Association Netherlands (FAN), the university and faculty, and the departments within the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). I also coordinate faculty events, maintain relationships with our Advisory Board, supervise FAN activities, and contribute to FSG’s internationalisation efforts.

In addition, I supervise several key committees and sub-boards: the Accountancy Day, Dutch Banking Tour, Financial Advisory Team, International Financial Management Society, and the Investment Team. These groups play a vital role in FSG’s mission to connect students with the financial world.

Through monthly meetings with fellow association chairmen (EBF, MARUG, VESTING, and TeMa), I work to strengthen collaboration within the faculty. Via FAN, I stay in close contact with four other financial study associations in the Netherlands: FSA, FSR, Asset | Accounting & Finance, and SCOPE. We meet every five weeks to share insights, align joint events, and support each other in our respective board years.

Lastly, as chairman, I represent the association at events and act as FSG’s spokesperson.

In my free time, I enjoy playing hockey and spending time with my family and friends. I’m looking forward to all the exciting challenges and opportunities this board year will bring!
