Hi! My name is Sam Eelman, and I am the External Relations Officer on the FSG board for 2025–2026. I’m 22 years old and grew up in Nieuw-Vennep, a relatively small village near Schiphol. I'm currently in the final phase of my bachelor's degree, during which I completed a finance minor.
Before starting my board year, I organized the Dutch Banking Tour. This experience really connected me with FSG and made me realize how many opportunities the association has to offer.
As the External Relations board member, my main responsibility is maintaining relationships with our partners. I ensure that the right companies are matched with the right events, fostering meaningful connections between students and professionals. I am also responsible for generating the funds needed to keep FSG running smoothly. It’s a dynamic role, often requiring me to balance multiple interests, but that’s precisely what makes it so exciting and rewarding.
Beyond partnerships, I focus on strengthening existing events and developing new initiatives to ensure FSG remains innovative and relevant to both its members and its partners. The variety in this role makes every day different, which keeps it both challenging and engaging.
