Description
A risk manager monitors operational or financial risks, determines risk appetites and mitigates risk exposures when needed. You will become responsible for the risk intake and you will play an active role in approving investment and pricing strategies.

Your activities
Your will approve risk intakes, investigate existing risk exposures in detail, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks when preferred. Your day-to-day activities include:

Conducting detailed solvency and risk assessments across the organisation

Analysing market trends, reports, statistics, and relevant documentation

Reviewing current risk management policies and protocols;

Observing and assessing internal operations

Evaluating risk appetites and implications of these on existing and new business

Developing a variety of scenario analyses and calculating the impact of these

Developing and implementing policies and contingency plans to reduce and control risks

Preparing and presenting risk assessment reports and proposals

You have 0-3 years of work experience and want to learn everything about risk management

You want to put the skills into practice that you have acquired during your master’s or PhD in Quantitative Finance, Accountancy, Economics or another related study

You do not hesitate to use your analytical skills to solve complex problems creatively and logically
