Femke Postma

Hi everyone! My name is Femke Postma, I'm 20 years old, and I was raised in Dokkum, a small town in the north of Friesland. This year, I am the Internal Relations Officer of the FSG Board. Currently, I am in the final phase of the BSc Business Administration - Accountancy & Controlling. During my first year, I joined the Activity Committee where I got to know many people and organized four fun events with my fellow committee members. Following that, I held the position of Chairman in the Conference Committee. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, working out and you can often find me working as a barista! The association provides numerous formal and informal events, which, for me, is the perfect opportunity to develop my professional skills while still having an amazing time with friends.
During that year, I learned a lot, and participated in many activities with my fellow committee members! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and roommates, and also I like working out. During my board year, I hope to become more self-aware and develop my personal skills further.

The Internal Relations of the FSG Board is responsible for the contact with students, the primary target group of FSG. You are the contact person for (active) members and responsible for bringing the association to the attention of new students. Besides, the Internal Relations is responsible for the promotion and ensures the corporate identity is consistently used. To ensure this, you will guide the committees in promoting their events.
Next to the promotion of FSG, you are responsible for the recruitment of new active members. FSG has two recruitment periods every year. Prior to these periods, you will coordinate the promotion and have coffee meetings with students who are interested in becoming an active member. Also, you plan and conduct the interviews and finally select the new active members.
Moreover, you organise a large number of informal activities, such as parties and the active members weekend. Next to informal activities, you also organise trainings for active members.
As the Internal Relations you meet many new people, which helps you develop your communicative skills quickly. Besides, you should be able to plan, keep the overview and work precisely. Also, assertiveness and creativity are of great importance.
